Break In

A Two-Month Process

Like a new pair of shoes, a new mattress needs to be broken in. Using your mattress on a regular basis allows the materials to soften and conform to your body. Of course, this will not happen overnight, but over a period of about two months.

Even Out

To even out the feel, try sleeping in the middle, or on the opposite side of your bed every once in a while.

We suggest that you rotate your mattress to keep a level sleeping surface and extend the life of the bed. More specifically, you should rotate your mattress every two weeks during the first two months, and then every three months after that. If you need assistance rotating your mattress, we provide this service for a fee to customers within a 30 mile radius of our Tualatin Headquarters.

Air Out

After receiving your new mattress, be sure to remove the plastic packaging and let it air out for a few hours before making the bed.

Our pillows also require a break-in period, much like the process outlined above.
