Understand Your Warranty

Sometimes even the best quality products can show early signs of wear, tear or manufacturer defects. Along with your BedMart 120-Day comfort exchange period, the majority of products we sell are covered by a manufacturer’s mattress warranty. This mattress warranty comes as a free benefit from the manufacturer with the purchase of your new mattress. To submit a warranty claim please read the information that follows, or choose to purchase our Warranty Assistance Service below.

NOTE: The manufacturer is solely responsible for warranty fulfillment. BedMart’s Warranty Assistance Service can help facilitate this process, but we are ultimately bound to the requirements set forth by the manufacturer. Outlet, Clearance, Floor Models, or anything deemed “As-Is” does NOT have a manufacturer’s warranty.

We do our best to keep the provided warranty information current; however, any outdated information in our warranty section is superseded by the specific manufacturer’s warranty guidelines.

Mattress Warranty FAQs

What is a warranty?

The warranty on the new mattress and foundation you purchase is not an indicator of how long the product should be used before replacement. The warranty is there to protect the customer from product defects, not against the gradual loss of comfort and support.

When you consider emerging technologies that continually improve mattress construction and the changing needs of your body over time, you’ll understand why it’s wise to compare the comfort and support of your present mattress to a new mattress at least every few years, regardless of the length of the warranty.

What’s covered in a mattress warranty?

Your mattress warranty generally covers measurable defects that affect the structural integrity of the mattress or box spring. This coverage will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so it is important to read your warranty card for details. The warranty also covers measurable body impressions greater than 1.5″ on a quilted-top mattress and greater than 0.75″ on a memory foam mattress.

What is not covered by my warranty?

Warranties protect your purchase from defects in manufacturing – not from damage caused by use or normal wear and tear. Items that are generally not covered by warranties include:

  • Stains or burns.
  • Structural damage due to improper frame or foundation support.
  • The firmness (or comfort) level of a mattress.
  • Mold
  • Mattress Handles
  • Normal wear and tear due to use or damage due to misuse – such as the border wire becoming twisted from bending or folding the mattress. For complete details, read the warranty card provided with your mattress. Many mattress manufacturers also provide their warranty guidelines online.
I bought my bed from BedMart Mattress Superstores, so who honors the warranty?

Because warranties are designed to protect against manufacturing defects, the manufacturer that made the product provides the warranty. To better assist our customers, BedMart has partnered with a 3rd party warranty submission service called MyMattressWarranty.com to facilitate the warranty claim process on your behalf.

Keep your paperwork!

All manufacturers require proof of purchase before they can proceed with a customer’s warranty claim. For this reason, we advise you to keep your receipts, warranty paperwork, and manufacturer’s law labels (the white tags sewn onto the end of each mattress or foundation). While many people remove these tags, we recommend that you leave them in place. In some cases the removal of the law tag will void the warranty. Law labels have information on them such as model number and manufacture date, which are required in processing warranty claims.

My adjustable bed is not moving up or down, as it should. What should I do?

Check your batteries and make sure you’re adjustable base is not plugged in to a lightswitch outlet!

If this does not fix the problem, do not try to force the bed into any position as it may cause permanent damage that is not covered by your warranty. Contact the manufacturer’s warranty department immediately, most remotes have a 1-800 number listed on the back for your convenience. If there is no number, please email customerservice@bedmart.net
